Great Days Out: May Half Term

Great Days Out: May Half Term

We've got a lot happening on the Severn Valley Railway over the May half-term period (27th May - 4th June). There are a whole host of additional activities happening at the Engine House, as well as some great offers to make your day out even better!

  • Cinema Movie Week:
    (Monday-Friday)
Following the success of our screening of Disney's Moana last month, we are showing more fantastic films at our cinema with daily showings, complete with popcorn and other cinema goodies to make for the full theatre experience!

    • Monday 29th May – The Secret Life of Pets
      (Run time: 91 Minutes)

    • Tuesday 30th May – Zootropolis
      (Run time: 108 Minutes)

    • Wednesday 31st May – Trolls
      (Run time: 89 Minutes)

    • Thursday 1st June – Monsters, Inc.
      (Run time: 88 Minutes)

    • Friday 2nd June – Finding Nemo
      (Run time: 96 Minutes)

All showings begin at 11:35am, there is a 45-minute break roughly an hour into each showing as an opportunity for lunch and  refreshments.
  • Kids Eat Free:
    (Friday only)
Did you know that we have a fully air-conditioned restaurant at the Engine House? We have a large kitchen serving up hot and cold food, and kids eat for free with every adult purchasing a main meal.
  • Movie-Themed Quiz:
To go along with our daily movie showings, we also have a FREE movie-themed quiz which will test your knowledge of the latest films (and some classic ones too). There will be prizes up for grabs for all of our young critics who complete the quiz on their day!
  • Colouring and activity tables:
We have activity and colouring sheets with plenty of crayons to keep those little hands busy, where else can you colour in the Lady Armaghdale while being sat in front of the Lady Armaghdale?
Finally, we have FREE local admission to the Engine House at Highley if you live in the Highley area, ie with the "WV16 6XX" postcode, simply bring along with you proof of residence* in the catchment area and you'll be able to enjoy all of the above free of charge - normal entry fees apply without.
