Opening our 2017 season, a great line-up of visiting locomotives supported by members of the Severn Valley Railway home fleet. A tantalising festival of locomotives large and small!

A great event for all the family; come along and get up close to an array of exciting steam locomotives, and sample a fantastic selection of attractions up and down the line. Pay once then jump on board a comfy carriage for the whole day and prepare to venture back in time!

The fantastic selection of visiting locomotives will be supported by members of our home fleet, including: No. 813, No. 1450, No. 7714, No. 78xx, No. 34027 Taw Valley, No. 34053 Sir Keith Park and No. 43106.

Please note, No. 1501 will no longer be appearing at the event due to ongoing Valve/Piston exam and running repairs.

Attractions include:

  • Doubleheaders, featuring; 1450 & 7714 and 41312 & 43106.
  • Brakevan rides at Highley. Friday & Saturday, 813: 1.00pm – 4.20pm. Sunday, 813: 11.00am – 12.30pm & 7714: 2.15pm – 3.30pm. Available on a first come, first served basis for a small donation.
  • Local trains to-ing and fro-ing between stations and services into the evenings.
  • Goods trains hauled by 92214, 7714, 813 and 41312.
  • Intensive timetable with up to 10 locomotives operating on Friday & Saturday, and 9 locomotives in action on Sunday
  • Beer Tent & Hot Pork Baps at Bewdley
  • Share Offer information stand at Kidderminster & Bridgnorth
  • Two all-new exhibitions in The Engine House
  • Paddock Railway at Hampton Loade open on Saturday & Sunday
  • Coalyard Miniature Railway at Kidderminster operating on all three days. The Railway will also be launching its all new steam locomotive (subject to availability).
  • Kidderminster Railway Museum HUGE book sale
  • Eardington Halt open for visits (no trains will stop at the station)

Important Information:

  • During the event, parking at Bridgnorth will be extremely limited due to the ongoing redevelopment of the station. Passengers must plan their parking arrangements in advance to avoid frustration on the day.
  • Kidderminster Harriers FC will be providing overflow parking during the event in Kidderminster, a short walk from the station. Parking charges apply - DY10 1NB.
  • Road Closures: the B4194 between Bewdley and Kinlet will be closed until Friday 17th March at 4.30pm. A diversion route is in place. Please allow extra time for you journey!

Annual Family Pass NOT valid. Children: 4 - 15 years, Family: 2 adults + 2, 3 or 4 children, Seniors: 60+.
To qualify for  'pre-book & save' prices these tickets must be purchased at least five working days in advance of your visit.
Tickets may also be purchased at the same price by calling 01562 757900 (option 1) or from our main booking offices 1 month in advance.
These tickets include FREE admission to The Engine House, our Visitor Centre at Highley.

Through tickets to Bridgnorth from National Rail will need to be upgraded at our Booking Offices on payment of surcharge.

The following passes are NOT VALID during the event: Heritage railway Passes, BR/LT Passes and Passes from Privatised Railways such as Virgin, London Midland, Chiltern, SVR Free ticket vouchers for Adult, Child or Family tickets or any discount schemes normally in operation.
