These terms and conditions apply to the ‘FREE RETURN VISIT’ offer only. 

The ‘FREE RETURN VISIT’ comes in the form of an A5 leaflet (‘leaflet’) handed out at the Booking Office when checking-in on the day of travel. These will be issued to those who have purchased tickets with ‘Freedom of the Line’ validity for operating days up to and including November 5 2023, this includes Day Rovers at the Spring Steam Gala, Spring Diesel Festival, Step Back to the 1940s, Autumn Steam Gala and Autumn Diesel Bash.

Free return vouchers will not be issued to those who purchase tickets for Short Journeys, Half Line Journeys, Santa Trains, The Enchanted Express, Ghost Train and any other ticket that does not have ‘Freedom of the Line’ validity.

This leaflet can only be exchanged at Kidderminster, Bewdley or Bridgnorth booking offices, with details on the leaflet completed, when passengers check in prior to travel. It cannot be used online. 

When exchanged, the booking office will issue complimentary travel tickets (‘ticket(s)’) for the number of tickets/people stated. Any additional tickets required for your party not covered by the leaflet must be paid for, in full, in advance or at the booking office.

When issued, each ticket is valid for travel on a ‘normal’ operating day in 2023 (Timetable A, B and C, October half-term timetable, Festive A and Festive B) up to and including January 2 2024, the final day of our Festive Season Service. Free return vouchers will not be valid for the Winter Diesel Day on Friday 29 December 2023 or after 2 January 2024, at which point they will expire.

The leaflet cannot be exchanged for travel on dates shown as Special Events where revised fares apply (Spring Steam Gala, Spring Diesel Festival, Step Back to the 1940s, Autumn Steam Gala, Autumn Diesel Bash, Winter Diesel Day). 

The ticket permits unlimited travel on the day of issue between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth and entry to The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley. 

When using this leaflet, you will not receive a second ‘FREE RETURN VISIT’ ticket unless/until a further ‘full price’ ticket has been purchased.

This offer holds no cash value and cannot be exchanged for any other product, ticket, shares, money or anything else. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. It is non-transferable. The SVR’s conditions of carriage apply.
