Observation Saloon

Hire our lavish observation saloon for a unique experience on the SVR

Experience the most lavish of journeys on the Severn Valley Railway aboard our observation saloon – available for exclusive hire for all forms of celebration, corporate day, networking event business lunch, wedding or extremely luxurious day out.

Privately charter our luxurious observation saloon for your next event and experience the Severn Valley Railway in comfort and style. Easily the best way to see the line, offering unparalleled, unbroken, unique views of line as it opens up behind you.

The observation saloon can comfortably hold up to 23 people with two separate ‘lounges’ for you to talk, eat, drink and travel in the most lavish of ways. The observation saloon can be attached to a service train or, for something more luxurious, can be chartered for your own path.

We can tailor your experience with a range of refreshments options, including drinks and a buffet package.

Our observation saloons were built in the 1940s and have been restored to their former glory to ensure you get a comfortable, lavish journey behind one of our steam or heritage diesel locomotives.

One full line journey lasts roughly 70 minutes, operating between Kidderminster in Worcestershire and Bridgnorth in Shropshire* – but we can tailor your experience to your exact requirements.

Prices start from £1,600 (plus VAT) for one round trip, or £1,900 (plus VAT) for two round trips. Dining and refreshment packages can also be purchased.
