Charitable Trust

Keeping a heritage railway running is very, very expensive! The income we receive from ticket sales and our commercial outlets such as catering and retail is simply not enough to maintain and restore our locomotives, carriages and infrastructure.

By donating to the Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust, you can help to preserve the history and heritage of the line, so that future generations will be able to enjoy and be inspired by the exhilaration of travelling on this much-loved railway.

If you pay income tax, you can add Gift Aid, worth an additional 25%, to your donation at no extra cost.

Raise the Roof campaign

Help us build a canopy to complete the Severn Valley Railway’s gateway station at Kidderminster. The station has been built over time to reflect the quality and character of the Great Western Railway. Now, it’s time to complete it, properly and permanently, by building a heritage canopy along the double platform.

With your help, the Raise the Roof campaign will secure £1,000,000 to bring this vision to life. This stunning and authentic structure will enhance your experience of visiting the Railway, staying true to authenticity and creating a legacy for generations to come.
