Our best-value and most flexible all-day ticket. Start your journey at Kidderminster, Bewdley or Bridgnorth and travel all day, choosing where to get off, how long you stay and how much you fit into your day. Purchase tickets online in advance up until 11.59pm on the day prior, or purchase on the day from Booking Offices.

Small Family tickets permit travel for one adult and up to two children. Large Family tickets permit travel for two adults and up to four children.

Looking for a shorter journey? Enjoy a return trip into the heart of the Severn Valley, with the option to combine your visit with other local attractions. Our short journeys are perfect for younger families or those wanting to explore the local area, and are of course a little bit cheaper than a full-day ticket. Purchase tickets online in advance up until 11.59pm on the day prior, or purchase on the day from Booking Offices.

Starting at Kidderminster or Bridgnorth, enjoy a trip to Highley for The Engine House (free entry) and Severn Valley Country Park, or to Arley for the beautiful riverside village and Arley Arboretum.

Singles and short returns

Looking to use the railway one way, then walk back along the Severn Way? Or don’t have much time, so a short train ride is all you’re after? We have singles and one/two/three station returns available on normal operating days, priced according to the table below and only available to purchase from the Booking Office on the day of your visit, before boarding the train.

Journey time between stations: Kidderminster to Bewdley/Bewdley to Kidderminster (15 minutes), Bewdley to Arley/Arley to Bewdley (15 minutes), Arley to Highley/Highley to Arley (10 minutes), Highley to Hampton Loade/Hampton Loade to Highley (10 minutes), Hampton Loade to Bridgnorth/Bridgnorth to Hampton Loade (20 minutes). Northwood Halt is between Bewdley and Arley. Country Park Halt is between Highley and Hampton Loade.

How to use your Unlimited Pass

Becoming a Severn Valley Railway Member

SVR Member’s receive the best discount on tickets. When you become an SVR member, you’re joining an exclusive club of people who are passionate about keeping our Railway running. Members can obtain a discount of up to 33% on travel, and receive a discount in our refreshment rooms (excluding alcohol) and on selected items in our shops. You’ll get the SVR members’ quarterly magazine SVR News, invitations to special behind-the-scenes events and the chance to volunteer on the Railway, should you choose. Discounts

The majority of our discount schemes are only available when normal fares apply (‘Freedom of the Line’), and are not valid at special events where Day Rover fares are in operation. The discounts can only be obtained when purchasing tickets at the Booking Office on the day of a visit.

Students

All students who are in possession of a student photo ID with valid expiry date, Student Beans ID, UNIDAYS ID or a TOTUM card receive a 20% discount off ‘Freedom of the Line’ tickets only, upon presentation of a valid membership card at Kidderminster, Bewdley or Bridgnorth Booking Offices on the day of travel. Discount is not available online or in advance.
Blue Light Card, Defence Discount Service, National Trust, Rail Riders, Rail Advent

20% discount off ‘Freedom of the Line’ fares; valid for the named Adult on the card, children and for Large and Small Family tickets, upon presentation of a valid card at the Booking Office on the day of travel. Discount is not available online or in advance. Does not include special events where revised fares apply.
Local Residents

Postcodes DY10 – DY14 and WV15 – WV16. 20% discount off ‘Freedom of the Line’ fares; valid for the named Adult on the card, children and for Large and Small Family tickets, upon presentation of proof of home address at the Booking Office on the day of travel.
Main-line Companies Staff

Holders of cards issued by the Rail Delivery Group (Rail Staff Travel) receive a discount off ‘Freedom of the Line’ tickets only, upon presentation of the card at Kidderminster, Bewdley or Bridgnorth Booking Offices on the day of travel. Discount is not available online or in advance. Does not include special events where revised fares apply.
Heritage Railway Association Privilege Card
Reciprocal Travel Scheme

On production of valid Staff Pass from a Railway in the SVR’s Reciprocal Travel Scheme, passholders are entitled to travel free of charge on days when normal fares apply only, but must obtain a ticket from the Booking Office before boarding. On days where revised Day Rover fares are in operation, cardholders receive a 33% discount, available at Kidderminster, Bewdley or Bridgnorth Booking Offices on the day of travel.
Essential Carers
We don’t offer discounts for passengers with disabilities, but we do offer a discount for carers. The discount offered to carers is equivalent to the SVR Child Member rate for the journey. One ‘carer fare’ is permitted per person with a disability. ‘Carer fares’ are available online in advance, or from the Booking Office on the day of travel. One of the following must be provided as proof:

First Class
First class seating is available on most trains. A supplement is payable for unlimited travel in one direction, and is payable to the Travelling Ticket Inspector on the train on the date of travel:

Full line, single: Adult £4.00, Child £2.50, Large Family £12.00, Small Family £8.00.

Half line, single: Adult £2.00, Child £1.50, Large Family £6.00, Small Family £4.00.

Another supplement is payable in each case for first class travel in the opposite direction.

Dogs

Dogs are charged at £5 per dog, per day, with tickets available to purchase on the day from the Booking Office. Dogs may be carried subject to payment of the appropriate fare but are NOT permitted in First Class accommodation (open carriages or compartments) and in catering vehicles such as Buffet cars and Dining vehicles (this restriction does not apply to Dogs assisting passengers with disabilities). Dogs must remain with paws on the floor (unless small enough to sit fully on laps) and are not permitted in First Class compartments. Dogs should not be easily frightened, railways can be loud, for example; sudden escapes of steam and locomotive whistles. Find out more here.
