Unlimited Pass - Terms and Conditions (revised 17/01/2026)

  • All Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Freedom of the Line Passes are valid on standard operating days for a 12-month period from the date of purchase.

    Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Freedom of the Line Passes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer, discount or advanced booking.

    All Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Freedom of the Line Passes allow the holder(s) unlimited journeys on the Severn Valley Railway during daytime services on ‘normal’ days during the validity period. Normal operating days are usually when Timetables A, B, C and D operate. This does not include special events where revised fares apply.

  • All Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Pass holders receive discounts on tickets for some (but not all) special events.

    Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Freedom of the Line Passes are not valid for entry to special events held at the railway including, but not limited to: Spring Steam Gala, Spring Diesel Festival, Step Back to the 1940s, Autumn Steam Gala, Autumn Diesel Bash, Winter Diesel Day and Winter Steam Gala. Anything defined by the Severn Valley Railway as a ‘special event’ will be subject to an additional charge.

    Additional charges, payable on the day of your visit at the booking office:

    • Large Family (2ad+4ch): £35.00
    • Small Family (1ad+2ch): £25.00
    • Adults: £17.50pp
    • Children (age 4-17): £12.00pp
    • Disabled person + carer: £30.00

    Boogie Lights Express, Character visits, Halloween and Christmas events are not included.

    Certain ‘special events’ are defined as a ‘normal fare’ where Freedom of the Line prices apply, such as Vintage Transport Extravaganza, Food and Drink Fayre, Model Railway Weekend etc, during which the Unlimited Freedom of the Line Pass is valid.

  • Parking is NOT included with the Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Pass. All parking is subject to availability.

    Passholders can bring along up to two dogs free of charge. Any additional dogs will need a valid travel ticket (£4.00 per day).

    Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Pass holders benefit from 10% off in refreshment rooms and shops. This includes:

    • The Valley Suite, Kidderminster
    • Bridgnorth Refreshment Room
    • Café at Highley

    The 10% discount does not apply to alcohol, soft drinks or confectionary, on-train dining, Afternoon Tea experiences or any other on-train dining or drink experience. Further item exclusions apply to the 10% off refreshment room and shop offers; please check at the point of purchase for eligibility.
    The 10% discount in shops does not apply to books and certain other items.

    Opening and closing times, admission prices and events are subject to change without prior notice. For technical/operational reasons the Severn Valley Railway reserves the right to change operating days, operating locomotives and timetables at any time without prior notice.

  • To receive your UNLIMITED Freedom of the Line pass, you must send passport style photographs and the names of each person on the pass to [email protected]. We will then process your UNLIMITED Freedom of the Line pass and send it to you within 8-10 working days. The requirements are detailed below:

    • Large Family (2ad+4ch) – adults’ names and photos.
    • Small Family (1ad+2ch) – adult’s name and photo.
    • Adult – adult’s name and photo.
    • Two adults – adults’ names and photos.
    • Disabled person + carer: both names and photos. 

    Purchasers of the Person with a Disability + Carer UNLIMITED Pass must present valid proof of carer status when purchasing (eg. Staff carer pass). This can be sent to [email protected] alongside your carer pass.

    Failure to present a valid Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Pass on the day of your visit will result in an on-the-day charge, which will be non-refundable and subject to the usual terms and conditions.

    Once the pass is collected/received, confirmation emails of any Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Pass will not be accepted as proof of purchase. Loss of the Unlimited Pass requiring a new card will charged at £25 per card and must be reported to the Severn Valley Railway as soon as the customer is aware of loss/misplacement.

  • Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Freedom of the Line Passes:

    • remain the property of Severn Valley Railway and can be withdrawn and access denied in the event of fraud, misuse or misconduct. The Management reserve the right to refuse entry for any reason.
    • are non-refundable.
    • expire 12 months from the date of purchase.
    • are non-transferable and cannot be sold, lent or given away to a third party. If this occurs, the Pass will immediately be revoked.

    All Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Pass benefits and discounts may be removed, amended or altered at any time without prior warning. 

    The Severn Valley Railway is entitled, in its absolute discretion, to change the price payable for the Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Pass at any time and for any reason.

    By purchasing any Severn Valley Railway Unlimited Pass you agree to all the terms and conditions of use.
