Premium dining experiences are back on the Severn Valley Railway
Following the success of its high-end dining experiences last year, the Severn Valley Railway has released dates and bookings in February and March for an exciting line-up of on-train dining experiences for 2024. From vintage afternoon teas to delectable Sunday lunches and brand-new gin train experiences, there’s something to please everyone who wants to splash out on some stylish luxury.
Gin enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Gin Train on selected dates in March. Hosted on board a stunningly restored teak dining carriage, the renowned gin connoisseur team from Piston Gin will take guests on a captivating journey along the line. There’ll be the chance to sample innovative gin creations while learning about the artistry behind this well-loved spirit.
On selected dates in both February and March, guests can step back in time and indulge in a delightful Vintage Afternoon Tea. Seated on board the elegant, first-class carriages, passengers will enjoy a generous selection of delectable sweet and savoury treats, with breath-taking views across the Worcestershire and Shropshire countryside.
For those craving a more substantial meal, the SVR’s catering partners at Bewdley-based Paisley Flour will be offering exceptional Sunday Lunch Dining on selected dates in February and March. It’s the opportunity to treat your loved ones, especially on Mother’s Day, to a mouth-watering feast on board the railway’s meticulously restored carriages, journeying through the picturesque Severn Valley.
“We are thrilled to offer these extraordinary dining experiences on board the Severn Valley Railway,” said Nicky Freeman, visitor experience manager. “Whether you’re a lover of vintage vibes, a connoisseur of fine dining, or a gin enthusiast, we have the perfect on-train dining experience for you.”
