Severn Valley Railway celebrates Armed Forces Day with a new discount offer
The Severn Valley Railway is celebrating Armed Forces Day on Saturday 25th June with the launch of a new offer for Blue Light Card and Defence Discount Service card holders.
This means that members of the Army, Royal Air Force and Navy alongside members of the emergency services will benefit from 33% off individual ticket prices when travelling on the Worcestershire and Shropshire heritage line with the presentation of their card at an SVR booking office.
The offer begins on Saturday 25th June and will continue all year round, applying to standard services.
Plus, for Armed Forces Day only, cardholders will receive 10% off food and hot or cold drinks at the SVR’s refreshment rooms and cafes.
Michael Dunn, Head of Visitor Experience, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support our Armed Forces and Emergency Services personnel in this way.
“The Severn Valley Railway is a key destination across Worcestershire and Shropshire and we look forward to extending a special welcome to an extremely important part of our local community. This is just our small way of giving something back.”
Blue Light and Defence Discount Service Card holders can access the discount at booking offices on the day of travel and there is no need to pre-book. The SVR’s services throughout July, August and September run Wednesday to Sunday.
