Bewdley Station
Built in 1862, Bewdley station boasts a heritage-covered wooden footbridge and a fascinating open-roofed cast-iron gents’ urinal on platforms 2 and 3. This was relocated from Melrose in Scotland and was restored and installed by volunteers. See if you can spot the small dog’s-head detailing on the outside walls! There’s a café next to the station building.
It’s a short walk into the centre of the Georgian town of Bewdley, crossing Thomas Telford’s 1798- built road bridge over the river Severn. Here you’ll find the Bewdley Museum, a wide selection of independent shops and cafes, along with lovely riverside walks.
A number of buses serve Bewdley. Parking at Bewdley station for up to 50 vehicles – £4 charge applies.
