Bewdley Lights Special Train

Travel in style to see the Christmas lights switch on event in Bewdley Town on Saturday 21 November 2026. There is ample parking at Kidderminster Station, so why not leave the car there and hop aboard a special heritage diesel train to Bewdley Station to arrive in style.

11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm, 2.45pm, 3.30pm, 4.15pm, 5pm.

Bewdley departure times:

6pm, 6.45pm, 7.30pm, 8.15pm

Bewdley Station is a short walk from the town centre, where you’ll be entertained, have the chance to do some Christmas shopping and ride the funfair, before joining the Mayor and Father Christmas in the countdown to the lights switch on. The festivities start from 11am in Bewdley, so there is ample to time to soak up the atmosphere and do some Christmas shopping before the lights get switched on at 5.30pm.

Tickets cost £5.00 per person for a return ticket (seats are not reserved on the Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) and are available on a first come, first served basis).

The Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) has limited accommodation for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs.

Parking charges apply at Kidderminster Station £4 per day, ANPR cameras in operation.
