SVR Supporters’ Day, Friday 19 June 2026

The Railway will be open exclusively and free-of-charge to its close supporters on Friday 19 June.

This is to express our gratitude to those who’ve stuck by the SVR’s side through the turbulent past few years, and during the challenges we continue to face.

Tickets

Tickets will be complimentary and available only to shareholders, members, working members, and patrons or guardians of the SVR Charitable Trust. Each entitled person/couple/family will be able to bring one guest only, and places must be pre-booked, in order to prevent overcrowding.

Book Supporters’ Day Tickets

To book your place, you will need either your SVR membership number, or SVR shareholder number, or if you are a patron or guardian of the SVR Charitable Trust, you must bring your pin badge with you on the day to prove your eligibility. A maximum of one supporter ticket and one guest ticket can be purchased in each order.

When reserving your ticket, you must select your first departure of the day, once you have travelled on this service, you can travel on any train during the day:

• Departures from Kidderminster at, 9.00am, 9.45am, 11.20am and 12.10pm. 
• Departures from Bridgnorth at 9.30am and 11.10am.

Unfortunately, the observation saloon shuttles between Kidderminster and Bewdley will not operate. We apologise for the disappointment this may cause.

Attractions

Alongside an intensive service of steam and diesel trains, we hope to have the following attractions (subject to availability):

• Travel in a GWR observation saloon and first-class dining carriage LNER 7960.
• Volunteer guided tours of The Engine House, Highley.
• Access to Kidderminster Carriage Works, Kidderminster Diesel Depot and signal boxes at Kidderminster,
• Signal box tours at Highley and Bridgnorth, 10am-4pm.
• Bridgnorth Engine shed and work shop open for viewing 10am – 4pm.

Important Information

• The Engine House will be open from 10.30am-5pm (last entry at 4.30pm), and our refreshment rooms at Kidderminster, The Engine House at Highley and Bridgnorth will be open too.
• Supporters’ receive a 10% discount on selected items in the gift shops (Kidderminster, The Engine House and Bridgnorth) and refreshment rooms (Station Tea Room, The Engine House, Bridgnorth).
• Parking is free of charge to all ticket-holders.
• A leaflet will be available at each booking office detailing the attractions open and timings.
