Goods Train Experience

Dates throughout the year

New for 2026, experience a heritage goods train and travel in a brake van.

Take a trip along the railway in a GWR ‘Toad’ brake van, BR 993898 ‘Shark’ or SR 55577 ‘Pillbox’, restored by our volunteers, and get a unique view of the railway. Online sales will close the day before the experience but we are expecting high demand, so is likely to be sooner.

Experience dates in 2026:

  • Saturday 17 October (fully booked)

You will travel in the brake van directly behind the locomotive on a journey from Bewdley to Bridgnorth, and return.

A limited number of places are available for each experience and must be pre-booked in advance. Tickets must be purchased with valid travel tickets (‘Freedom of the Line’ tickets). For Shareholders, Working Members or Unlimited Pass holders, please call 01562 757900 (option 10 to book your place.
