Severn Valley Railway to operate diesel-only services until 25th July

Important announcement: The continuing hot, dry weather means the SVR will continue to run diesel-hauled services only for the next few days. We will review the situation next Monday 25^th July.

However, our purple steam loco, No.70 ‘Elizabeth II’ WILL be in steam to haul the Queen’s Baton Relay this Saturday 23^rd July. It will be assisted by a diesel locomotive in order to help prevent the chances of a lineside fire.
