Hampton Loade

Originally opened in 1862, Hampton Loade is one of the Severn Valley Railway’s hidden gems. This is truly a place to ‘get away from it all’. After the train has departed, you can sit on a platform bench and savour the sounds of nature, including birds singing, insects humming and the wind whispering through the trees. It’s the perfect antidote to today’s busy world, and the river Severn is just a short walk down the lane.

Plus, the ‘Mercian Way’ National Cycle Route 45 passes the station, including a section alongside the railway to Country Park Halt!

Parking: Limited parking for up to 15 cars. Access is via a long and narrow country lane.
Pub: Served locally by The Unicorn Inn
Refreshments: Kiosk serving limited range of hot and cold drinks/snacks (Open most weekends).
Gift Shop: Fund Shops with books, railwayana and bric-a-brac (Open most weekends).
Don’t Miss: Paddock Railway 16mm scale garden railway (Open Sundays and most bank holidays).

Hampton Loade Station and its facilities are open on SVR operating days only.
