Step Back to the 1940s Big Band Show

27 June and 4 July

Get in the mood with two evenings of 1940s music, live at Kidderminster Station – expect flag waving, toe-tapping and swing-dancing fun!

The concert will be starting at 7pm on both Saturday 27 June and Saturday 4 July. Each evening event will feature big band classics from the likes of period stars Glenn Miller and the Andrews Sisters.

The event will be capped by an ever-popular ‘last night of the proms’ style sing along, led by Winston Churchill, combining patriotic songs such as Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem, accompanied by some of Churchill’s Classic wartime speeches.

A special Band Show train will operate from Bridgnorth at 6.15pm on each night, returning from Kidderminster at 11.00pm. For those without Day Rover tickets, it’s £15pp to travel on this train (Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, return), with all passengers requiring a Band Show ticket too, to permit travel.

Please be aware that this event includes historical wartime re-enactments featuring pyrotechnic effects, simulated explosions, air raid sirens, smoke effects and other loud noises.
