Flying Scotsman visit

Friday 25 – Monday 28 July 2025

The world’s most famous steam locomotive 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ will be making a rare guest appearance at the Severn Valley Railway from Friday 25 – Monday 28 July, and it will haul the first full-line service this season, heralding the reopening of the line to Bridgnorth!

All tickets to ride behind ‘Flying Scotsman’ are sold out.

Paired with our set of Gresley teak carriages, ‘Flying Scotsman’ will haul three return trips a day on Friday 25, and then on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July, as part of the SVR’s Swingin’ Sixties event, which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the line in preservation, and finally on Monday 28 July.

Flying Scotsman trains depart from Kidderminster for one round trip (the train will not be stopping at intermediate stations) at 9am, 1pm and 5.15pm. You can see the train times and other information in the FAQ section below.

We are extremely grateful to the National Railway Museum and Northern Steam Operations Ltd for agreeing to 60103’s visit.
